Kano State’s Director-General of Media and Publicity, Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, has announced the heartbreaking passing of his 15-year-old son, Sadiq Modibbo Bature, who succumbed to complications following a bone marrow transplant surgery in India.
Sadiq had been battling sickle cell anaemia since birth and underwent the transplant in hopes of improving his health. Tragically, just days after the procedure, he experienced post-surgery complications that affected his brain, leading to his untimely death.
