Two security men, Bashiru Sani and Sani Mohammed, have appeared before an Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos over alleged conspiracy and theft of a gasoline generator.

Sani, 32, and Mohammed, 40, are standing trial before Magistrate L.J.K Layeni on a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing

They, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge

The prosecutor, Dr Simon Uche, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Nov. 2 at the Abule Ado area of Lagos.

He alleged that the defendants, while working as gatemen to a complainant, one Kingsley Mba, conspired to steal his Stenwei Gasoline Generator valued N280,000.

He said that the offence contravened the provisions of Sections 287 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.

The court granted the defendants bail in the sum of N100,000 each with one surety each in like sum.

He adjourned the case until Dec. 14 for trial.
