Emphasis on Strategic Partnerships

Both nations emphasized their commitment to a multipolar world order, challenging the dominance of Western powers, particularly the United States.

President Pezeshkian highlighted Russia as a strategic partner and underscored the importance of trilateral cooperation involving Iran, Russia, and China.

Shoigu echoed these sentiments, praising the growing bilateral relations and the potential for expanded collaboration in international organizations like the United Nations, BRICS, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organizationโ€‹ (Caspian News).

Regional Security and Restraint

Shoigu’s visit also aimed to signal support for Iran while urging restraint in response to recent events.
