When Honorable Shaaban Ibrahim Sharada called me from Saudi Arabia two years ago, I had no idea the impact that conversation would have on my life and my involvement in the political landscape of Kano State.

Shaaban expressed his concern for the state and urged me to become more involved, citing my academic background as a potential asset to the community.

Shaaban has been a constant presence in my life since that phone call, always in touch and eager to hear my thoughts and ideas about how to improve Kano.

So when he decided to run for governor, I was honored that he confided in me about his plans.

But it wasn’t until I became involved in the development of Shaaban’s blueprint for Kano that I truly came to understand why I endorse him as the state’s next governor.

Fast forward to today, and I am honored to be part of Shaaban’s technical committee for his Blueprint for Kano 2023.

The blueprint, which serves as the foundation for Shaaban’s Kano Vision 2040, was not created by expensive consultants. Instead, it was crafted by a team of young people (average age: 38 years) led by Shaaban himself, and vetted by a diverse group of professionals, including technocrats, academics, businessmen, and other relevant stakeholders.

The fact that the blueprint was developed in this way speaks volumes about Shaaban’s leadership style and his commitment to truly listening to the voices of the people. It’s also a reflection of his youthfulness and his ability to lead the youth.

As a member of the technical committee for this blueprint, I have had the privilege of working closely with Shaaban and his team, and I can attest to the level of dedication, passion, and expertise that they bring to the table. It is truly an honor to be part of such a dynamic and forward-thinking team.

I must admit, when I first heard about Shaaban’s candidacy, I was skeptical. But, after taking the time to listen to him and his ideas, I was blown away. It was then that I made the decision that he is the right man for the job.

As an individual, my personality is that of an introvert who doesn’t flaunt or show off wealth and knowledge. I’m grateful to Shaaban for that call two years ago because it taught me that I can change things in my own niche and way. Since then, I started my personal social responsibility by creating “Your Knowledge Companion,” where I share knowledge on my social media platforms.

Ultimately, I believe Shaaban is the right person to lead Kano State into the future. His blueprint for Kano 2023 is a clear and compelling vision for a better future, and I have no doubt that he has the skills, determination, and support to make that vision a reality.
