The Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested three suspected vandals and three motorcycle thieves involved in criminal activities across various parts of the state.

In a significant operation, the NSCDC apprehended the three vandals—Lawan Ahmed, 17, of Unguwa Uku quarters; Ahmad Yusuf, 21, of Kawo quarters, Nassarawa Local Government; and Mujahid Kabiru, 22, of Kofar Waika, Gwale Local Government—at Na’ibawa Quarters in Kumbotso Local Government Area.
The suspects are accused of vandalizing and stealing multi-million Naira transformer armored cables. They were caught in possession of the stolen property along with the receivers. Authorities have launched an investigation into the case to track down additional individuals linked to the syndicate.
In a separate operation, the NSCDC arrested three suspected motorcycle thieves. Abdulrazaq Umar, 30, of Sharada Ja’en, and Aminu Shehu Muhd, 42, of Janbulo Quarters, Gwale Local Government, were arrested at Unity Road, Kano, while attempting to steal a parked motorcycle at a nearby plaza. Musa Ibrahim, 30, was also apprehended at Kwanar Gafan in Garun Malam Local Government Area after stealing a motorcycle in Kwanar Garko, Garko Local Government.
The six suspects are now in the custody of the Civil Defence Investigation Department, where they will remain until investigations are concluded. All six will face charges in court upon the completion of the investigations.
