Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel, has provided the latest injury update on striker, Tammy Abraham, ahead of his side’s away Premier League clash with Southampton on Saturday.
Abraham hobbled off the pitch during Chelsea’s 2-0 victory over Newcastle United on Monday at Stamford Bridge.
The 23-year-old was replaced by Olivier Giroud after 20 minutes following a challenge from Newcastle’s Jamaal Lascelles.
Providing an update on Abraham, Tuchel said at a post-match press conference: “It’s serious enough he had to go.
“We worry about him, and hopefully he will not miss too many matches.”
The win over Newcastle means Chelsea are now in the fourth position on the log with 42 points from 24 games.
