Spokesman for the fire service, Saminu Abdullahi, confirmed that while the service recorded three fatalities, it was also able to save the lives of four individuals. Additionally, the fire service prevented further loss by saving property valued at N310,600,000.

Abdullahi also disclosed that the service had received six false alarms and five rescue calls. The emergency operations were carried out across the state’s 29 fire stations.

He urged the public to exercise caution when handling fire, especially during the harmattan season, to minimize the risk of fire incidents.

“I also call on motorists to drive carefully and adhere to traffic laws, particularly as many travel for the upcoming Christmas holiday to prevent road accidents,” Abdullahi emphasized.
