The appointment of Abdulrashid Bawa as chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) has been described as a welcome development.
This is in a statement issued by the National Association of Tijjaniyya Youth Enlightenment, signed by National Publicity Secretary Abubakar Balarabe Kofar Naisa, and General Secretary of the Association, Shehu Tasiu Ishaq.

The statement commended President Muhammadu Buhari for electing Abdulrashid Bawa to head the EFCC.
The Tijjaniya Youth also advised the new chairman of the EFCC, Abdulrashid Bawa, to show his professionalism for the betterment of the commission and the people of the country.
The Association later assured the new chairman of the commission of his full cooperation and support in order to achieve the desired progress.
The group called on Nigerians to lend their support to the new Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) chairman Abdulrashid Bawa to curb corruption in the society.
