President Bola Tinubu has appointed Daniel Bwala, a former spokesperson for the 2023 People’s Democratic Party presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, as his Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications at the State House.
In a statement by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Tinubu also announced the appointment of three directors-general for key national agencies.

Olawale Olopade was named the new Director-General of the National Sports Commission. Olopade, an experienced sports administrator, previously served as the Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Ogun State. He also chaired the local organizing committee for the 2024 National Sports Festival.
Dr. Abisoye Fagade was appointed as the Director-General of the National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism. Fagade, a seasoned marketing communications professional, is the founder and managing director of Sodium Brand Solutions.
Dr. Adebowale Adedokun will now lead the Bureau of Public Procurement. Adedokun previously served as the Director of Research, Training, and Strategic Planning at the bureau.
Tinubu called on the new appointees to carry out their duties with dedication, patriotism, and a commitment to excellence.
