The presidency has announced several key appointments following the federal executive council (FEC) meeting held on Wednesday.
Bianca Odinaka Odumegwu-Ojukwu was appointed as the minister of state for foreign affairs, while Jumoke Oduwole has been assigned to oversee the ministry of industry, trade, and investment.

In a shake-up, Nentawe Yilwatda will replace the suspended Betta Edu as the minister of humanitarian affairs and poverty reduction. Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi was named the new minister of labour and employment.
Additionally, Idi Mukhtar Maiha was appointed as the minister of livestock development, and Yusuf Abdullahi Ata is the new minister of state for housing and urban development. Suwaiba Said Ahmad was also appointed as the minister of state for education.
In another significant move, Shehu Dikko was named the chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), which will now take over the functions of the dissolved ministry of sports development.
The former minister of sports, Sunday Dare, from the Muhammadu Buhari administration, has been appointed as the special adviser to the president on public communication and orientation. Dare will be operating from the ministry of information and national orientation.
