The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has returned to Nigeria.
Tinubu landed in Lagos state Friday evening after months of medical attention.
Tinubu was in London, United Kingdom, for surgery on his right knee and “rigorous post-surgery physiotherapy,” according to his media office.
A statement issued said contrary to rumour, the politician underwent no other surgical procedures and contemplates none in the future.

It noted that Tinubu’s recuperation “has been without complication and ahead of the schedule by the attending surgeon”.
The update assured that Tinubu has fully recovered from the knee surgery and is committed to doing his part in advancing the cause of good governance.
The APC stalwart specially thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for his visit and wishes.
He also hailed the House of Representatives Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila, governors, party leaders, Northern Reps Caucus, Lagos House of Assembly members and others.
Tinubu appreciated his friends, associates, supporters and well-wishers who have been with him in prayers and supplications to Allah, DAILY POST reports.
“Asiwaju Tinubu thanks you all”, the statement added.
Recall that the mobilization for the Jagaban of Borgu’s presidential ambition has commenced in Lagos with the launch of SWAGA which was attended by many southwest APC stalwarts.
All Progressives Congress chieftain while in London says he is healthy but only undergoing physiotherapy in London.
Tinubu said this while addressing members of the House of Representatives northern caucus that visited him in London on Friday.
The former governor, who has been in the United Kingdom for the last three months since undergoing knee surgery, however, said he was undergoing physiotherapy which he described as “gruesome”.
Addressing the gathering, Tinubu who was dressed in a kaftan and a red cap said, “Because of God and people like you, I am well. It is just the physio (physiotherapy) that is gruesome.”
Since his departure, Tinubu’s London home has become a Mecca of sorts as he has been visited by the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.); Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila; Governors Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), and Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti).
His prolonged stay abroad has, however, drawn criticism from a section of Nigerians who believe he ought to have stayed in the country to receive treatment.
Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, said should Tinubu become President in 2023, he would continue Buhari’s tradition of seeking treatment abroad at the expense of taxpayers.
