Senate President Godswill Akpabio had announced the original date during Thursday’s plenary, stating, “The president has made his intention known to the National Assembly to present the 2025 budget to the joint Assembly of the National Assembly on the 17th of December, 2024.” He added that the presentation would take place in the House of Representatives Chamber.

Plenary was scheduled for 10:30 am to allow senators to convene in the Red Chamber before processing to the House of Representatives for the budget presentation.
