From the 4000 contestants who submitted entries to the seventeen contestants who made it to the show, the top five contestants have finally emerged for the Naija Star Search Talent Show final rounds.
Skimzo, Eniola, Kachi, Melo, and Greysky ranked first through fifth. Toms, the lady with the melodious voice who had the judges in tears after performing late Sound Sultan’s song last week, was unlucky as she was evicted in the next episode.
The contestants performed their original Afrobeats songs in the most recent episode. The judges are looking for originality, street credibility, and creativity in the talents that can propel them to the global stage at this level of competition. The judges worked with them, mentoring them as they refined their original songs.
These young talents delivered an electrifying performance on the show, which aired last Sunday. Unfortunately for Toms, the judges’ decision meant that her song choice couldn’t compete with her peers.
