Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi has responded to criticism from Nigerians who questioned her support for President Bola Tinubu during the 2023 general election.

In a recent exchange on social media, Toyin defended her decision, stating that she was promised good governance and happiness for all by the president.

When asked if she believed the Tinubu administration had failed Nigerians, Toyin distanced herself from politics, saying she had focused on her acting career and was not responsible for the government’s actions.

She also expressed regret over publicly endorsing a political candidate during the elections.

Toyin’s response came after a user mocked her earlier post about meeting with President Tinubu, implying that she should reveal the solutions he shared with her to address Nigeria’s challenges.

Toyin pushed back, asking why she should suffer for the government’s perceived failures. She also lashed out at trolls who cursed her, saying they should focus on their own lives.
