Reports have confirmed the killing of two notorious bandits, known for their involvement in murder and kidnapping, in Zamfara State.

The slain bandits have been identified as Sani Black and Kachalla Makore.

These men had terrorized Dansadau village, its surrounding areas, and parts of Maru Local Government Area with their criminal activities.

Confirming the incident, the Media Adviser to the Governor of Zamfara State, Alhaji Mustafha Jafaru, said Sani Black was killed on Sunday in Yar-Tasha village, while Kachalla Makore was killed on Tuesday in Kunkeli village, both located in Maru Local Government Area.

According to Jafaru, the two bandit leaders were killed alongside 23 of their accomplices by local vigilantes working in collaboration with security forces.

Following Black’s death, Kachalla Makore led his men to retrieve his body, which ultimately led to his own demise as he sought revenge.

Sani Black was killed with eight of his fighters, while Makore died alongside 15 of his followers.

Before his death, Makore had destroyed a military vehicle and injured two soldiers in Kunkeli village.

The governor’s aide called on the community to continue providing security forces with vital intelligence on the whereabouts and activities of terrorists in the area.

In a related development, the federal government recently directed the Minister of State for Defense, Bello Matawalle, and other security officials to return to Zamfara State to oversee efforts to eradicate terrorism in the region.
