Oleksandr Usyk, the undisputed world heavyweight champion, has announced his decision to relinquish his IBF title shortly after claiming victory over former world champion Tyson Fury.
The 37 year old Ukraine sensational, Usyk , made history by becoming the first heavyweight to secure the IBF, WBO, WBA, and WBC belts with a split decision triumph over Fury in Saudi Arabia just weeks ago.
Usyk’s contractual obligations for a rematch with Britain’s Fury prevent him from defending the IBF crown against interim champion and mandatory challenger Daniel Dubois.

Consequently, the anticipated all-British clash between Dubois and Anthony Joshua at Wembley in September could potentially now be contested for the vacant title.
In a social media video message, Usyk addressed Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois, stating, “Anthony and Daniel, listen. I know the IBF title holds significance for you. Consider it my gift to you on September 21.”
