An unidentified man on Tuesday have reportedly leaped into the waters of the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge.

Eyewitnesses along the route have verified the incident, noting that a crowd has gathered at the location in an attempt to organize rescue efforts.

One of the eyewitnesses, Temitope, via X (formerly know as twitter) said : “Depression is real tbh Someone just jumped into the Ikoyi link bridge water right in front of me, not quite long.

“Hope he will not be lifeless before the rescue team arrives”

Confirming the incident, the spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin said: “Our men are there, controlling the crowd as other rescue teams arrive”.
