Aisha Yesufu, a well-known activist, has caused quite a stir by choosing not to stand for the recently reinstated national anthem in Nigeria.

Daily News 24 reports that Yesufu shared the video of her protest with the caption #NotMyNationalAnthem on her X account on Friday.

President Tinubu and the Legislature made the decision to revert back to the old anthem, which has sparked a heated debate.

Oby Ezekwesili and Comrade Deji Adeyanju have shared their perspectives on the matter. Ezekwesili has made it clear that she will persist in singing ‘Arise O Compatriots’ as her anthem.
