A video capturing the inaugural moments of one of the recently designated military governors, chosen by the military junta in Niger Republic, assuming office, has emerged on social media.

In the footage shared by Daily Trust and reviewed by our correspondent on Thursday, an atmosphere of celebration is evident as the military governor, nominated by the Niger military junta, commences their duties.

Daily News 24 recollects that the Military junta in Niger Republic designated new governors for the nation’s eight regions.

During a press conference on Tuesday, August 1st, the coup leaders’ spokesperson, Amadou Abdramane, disclosed this information.

The appointed governors and their respective regions are as follows:

Agadez: Brigade General Ibro Boulama

Dosso: Brigadier General Iro Oumarou

Diffa: Brigadier General Ibrahim Bagadoma

Niamey: Brigadier General Abdou Assouman Harouna

Tahoua: Major Colonel Oumarou Tawayé

Maradi: Inspector General of Police Issoufou Mamane

Tillabery: Lieutenant Colonel Maïna Boukar

Zinder: Colonel EF Labo Issoufou
