Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr is a doubt for his side’s upcoming Champions League match against Liverpool after suffering a hamstring injury.
The Brazilian played the full 90 minutes in Real Madrid’s 3-0 victory over Leganes in La Liga on Sunday.

On Monday, the club confirmed that Vinicius Jr had sustained “an injury to the biceps femoris in his left leg.” While Spanish newspaper Marca reports that the player could be sidelined for around three weeks, Real Madrid has not commented on the severity of the injury.
Vinicius Jr took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to react to the news, writing: “Crazy calendar. Time to recover.”
Real Madrid, currently 18th in the 36-team Champions League table, will travel to Anfield on Wednesday to face Liverpool, who top the table.
Meanwhile, Liverpool is also facing injury concerns. England right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold missed Sunday’s 3-2 win at Southampton due to a hamstring injury sustained before the international break.
It remains uncertain whether he will be available for the match against the 15-time European Cup winners.
