In his efforts towards developing human capacity in the area of knowledge, the Proprietor and Chairman Board of Trustees, Al-istiqama University, Sumaila (AUSU), Hon. Abdurrahman Sulaiman Kawu Sumaila has offered a full scholarship to Rumasa’u Muhammad Adam following her outstanding academic performance in the 2022 West African Examination.

Little Rumasa’u from Kachako town in Takai Local Government of Kano state, obtained eight Distinctions including Mathematics and English in the 2022 May/June West African Examination organized by the West African Examination Council (WAEC).

According to a statement signed by Hon Sumaila, the gesture was in line with his efforts towards boasting knowledge in the Society through community service as well as meeting the core objectives of promoting moral and academic excellence to students in the immediate host community and beyond.

According to her results, the statement added, the beneficiary had obtained Eight (8) Distinctions comprising of 3 As and 5 Bs.

She has been offered admission to undergo a four-year Degree programme in the Faculty of Basic Health Sciences at AL-Istiqama University, Sumaila, beginning from the 2022/2023 Academic Session.

While thanking the Proprietor for his magnanimity, Hon. Hamza Safiyanu Kachako, has, on behalf of Takai/Kachako Community, expressed gratitude to the Almighty Allah and commended the Proprietor for the gesture.

He then urged the beneficiary to consider the award as an exceptional one and reciprocate the gesture by redoubling her efforts during her study at Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila.

He further charged her to become a good ambassador whom other people and her parents will be proud of.

“May Allah make this effort a blessing to the entire Muslim Ummah around the globe,” he prayed.
