According to him, the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Abubakar Njodi, announced the suspension following alleged negligence to duty by the general manager.
The government said the dereliction of duty had led to rampant water pipe leakages as witnessed by the governor during his inspection visits of some project sites in the state capital on Tuesday.
He said the general manager had been directed to handover affairs of the office to the most senior COREN registered engineer in the agency to oversee its affairs until further notice.
