The Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa, Sen. Aishatu Binani, has expressed confidence that Sen. Bola Tinubu would emerge winner of the presidential election.

Binani made this known to newsmen shortly after casting her vote at the  Mahmudu Ribadu 006 polling unit in her ancestral home in Yola-South Local Government Area on Saturday.

The gubernatorial flagbearer said she was confident that Tinubu would be the next president of Nigeria.

“We are hopeful and confident our presidential candidate will emerge winner.

“The process is very clear by using the Biometric Voter Accreditation System (BVAS); it did not take me up to two minutes to cast my vote,” said Binani.

Similarly, some of the voters commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for introducing the BVAS, which made the process fast and accurate.

Malama Fatima Abubakar, a voter, said that deployment of technology in the exercise had reduced suffering and saved time, especially to women expected to perform some domestic chores and take care of their children.

She said that the 2023 election process is clearly different in such a way that electorate were accredited and cast their votes at the same time unlike the previous elections.

Mr Lamda Katagum, another voter, described the exercise as excellent.

He said that the new development had ease tension and many challenges faced during the elections.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the exercise is progressing peacefully, while the movement restriction order is complied by residents.
