The supervisory committee of the Kano state censorship board, which has the responsibility of checking the Eid Fitr celebration in Kano to ensure open theaters have abided by the state laws concerning their mode of operation, most especially during the festive period, to avoid immoral acts, which was chaired by Alh. Abdulkarim Badamasi, has reported back to the executive secretary of the board, Alh Abba Almustapha, on the level of compliance recorded during the Eid Fitr celebration in Kano.
According to the committee, they have succeeded in reducing the level of immoral acts in most of the theaters in Kano during the Sallah celebrations.

Alh. Abdulkarim Badamasi explained that “this year assignment succeeded in minimizing the immoralities in almost all the theaters during the celebration while they advised most of the theaters on how to improve in their business, especially maintaining health safety and the security of their customers.”
In their remarks, the director of film production and development, Alh. Idiris Zakari Ya’u Zaura, and the director of publication, Alh. Abubakar Zakari Garun Babba, who were among the committee members, said they had not experienced any challenges during the exercise.
Speaking shortly after receiving the report, the Executive Secretary of the Kano State Censorship Board, Alh. Abba El-Mustapha, expressed his appreciation to the committee for their job well done in ensuring compliance with the state-laid-down rules and regulations guiding the operations of open theaters in the state.
The executive secretary commended the owners of theaters in the state for their cooperation during the festive period.
