While worshipers were observing their Isha’i prayers in a Mosque in Tella town of Gassol local government area of Taraba State, gunmen attacked, whisking away four worshippers.
A resident of Tella, Suleiman Rabiu, told Daily Trust that the gunmen, about 12 in number, surrounded the mosque at about 7.12pm and abducted worshipers who were observing their prayers.
The worshipers were led out of the mosque and subsequently kidnaped, after the gunmen disrupted the prayer session. Later, an individual got released and the remaining captives were taken to an unknown location. The source said.

Among those abducted are Alhaji Yahaya, Aminu Dali and Alhaji Hussaini, who is chairman of grain dealers in the area.
Resident of Gassol area are under attacks from gunmen suspected to be bandits that relocated from Zamfara state into the area following military onslaught.
Within the last three weeks, more than 25 persons, mostly traders and farmers, have been abducted.
Spokeperson of the Taraba police command, DSP Usman Abdullahi, confirmed the mosque incident but did not go into details.(DailyTrust)
