Ahead of the official flag off of political campaigns for the 2023 general elections, a coalition of political campaign organisations for a frontline aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged in Kano.
The Arewa Organisations Movement for Asiwaju (AROMA) is a northern political umbrella created as a main body to accommodate all existing and emerging Tinubu support groups in the north.

Speaking at its maiden press conference on Tuesday, the convener of the group described Tinubu as the best candidate that can salvage the country from its present woes.
I am happy today, to those that are opportune to be here to witness, certify and endorse the merger and amalgamation of Tinubu Support Coalition (TSC) to work under Arewa Organisations Movement for Asiwaju (AROMA), a single Northern movement for Tinubu support as the 2023 Presidential Candidate of the federal republic of Nigeria.
He said, “Tinubu is an all-inclusive person who doesn’t blend with the harsh divisions of ethnicity. An impartial maverick politician who believes in the sanctity and unity of one great indivisible Nigeria.
“He is the man who believes in people and trusts people as his only assets.
“Either Northerners, Southerners, Easterners or Westerners, all are considered a single entity to him, an undeniable quality that is still few among politicians of today.
“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu supported President Muhammadu Buhari in the past primary and the general election 2015 and 2019, he offered himself an immeasurable supports of energy and resources.
“This and many other reasons, we have today found that a burden upon all Northerners to come forward and pay-back the trust, and the political pact between us and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. (Alheri- sai Dan Alheri)
“Less we forget, his trust on people has endeared him to support many presidential candidates at different time thus: his supports to MKO SDP in 1993, Atiku Abubakar AC in 2007, Jonathan PDP 2011, PMB APC in 2015 and 2019, still counting his support to the present Government.
“Finally, I am hereby appealing to all and Sundry to come and join hands with us in this struggles, also I will call to all party men and women alike to give us their support when the nomination comes up for the party decisions. He is a leader that can lead to liberate” Engr Magaji added.
The groups that formed the movement include: North West Progressive movement NPM, National Orientation and Youth Endorsement NOYE, APC Coalition for youth Awareness, Amalgamated traders Association of Nigeria AMATA, APC youth Vanguard, National Association of Qur’anic Memorizers, APC enlightenment Forum and the last not the least and Arewa Youth For Rochas Organizations AYORO.
