Alhaji Usman Baba (Ubale) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won the by-election for Sabon Gari Constituency of Kaduna State House of Assembly.

The returning officer Dr Mohammed-Nuruddin Musa has said that Usman Baba returned as duly elected member of the Kaduna state House of Assembly having satisfied the requirements of law and scored 9,113 votes.

He defeated his closest contender from the All Progressives Congress (APC) Malam Musa Musa who scored 7404 votes.

He said Anas Abdullahi of the ADC scored 62 votes, Chindo Ibrahim of ADP scored 61 and Musa Halilu of PRP scored 305 votes.
