Mr Musa Guri, Chairman, Coalition of Buhari Support Groups in Jigawa, has urged Nigerians to support President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration to provide security, to achieve sustainable social and economic development in the country.

Guri made the call in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Dutse on Friday.

He dismissed as “unrealistic,” criticism against the Buhari’s administration policies and programmes in spite of the remarkable successes recorded in various sectors in the past six years.

The Chairman said that the coalition had embarked on sensitisation activities to create awareness on the feat achieved by the administration with a view to correct the wrong notion about its drive to move the country to a greater hight.

Guri also called on the media to join them in the noble course toward educating Nigerians about the numerous achievements recorded by the administration.

“Not many Nigerians actually understood how the new approach adopted by the administration toward poverty eradication and economic diversification, especially in agriculture impacted on the ordinary citizens.

“The administration’s commitment toward empowering women and youths had greatly increased financial access to millions, thereby increasing economic activities in the country,” he said.

The banking industry, he said, could testify these achievements with the increased number of new customers as a fallout of Buhari’s Conditional Cash Transfer programme, among others.

“Today, the president is being attacked by everyone who want to be seen as an opposition because all the good things Mr President has been doing are not properly channel down to the grassroots.”

“There has never been a government in Nigeria that has positively touch the lives of ordinary citizens since independence like the government of President Muhammadu Buhari.” (NAN)
