Rep. Tunji Olawuyi, APC member representing Ekiti, Irepodun, Isin and Oke-ero Federal Constituency of Kwara, has rolled out education grant for his constituents studying in Nigerian tertiary institutions.

The education grant will for now replace the 2021 Ajuloopin Digital Empowerment Programme (ADEP) that was earlier scheduled for November but suspended for issues bothering on technicalities.

The lawmaker, in a statement on Sunday in Omu-Aran,  said the move became necessary to help students in financial needs and also assuage the feelings of those who had earlier applied for ADEP 2021.

ADEP has now been put on hold till 2022 when all technical issues would have been sorted out.

The students, according to the federal lawmaker, must be from his constituency but could be studying in any of the public institutions in the country.

He added that the gesture was to help successful students to pay for their tuition fees, adding that this would help to address some of the challenges confronting them.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that interested students are to obtain an Expression of Interest form at Ajuloopin Constituency Office, Omu-Aran, on Nov. 30.

Each applicant is to present copies of admission letter, last semester result, school identity card, voter’s card and National Identification number. (NAN)
