The Kano State Police Command has arrested a suspected drug dealer during a surveillance patrol along Kwanar Dangora, Kiru LGA, Kaduna – Kano border.

The suspect identified as Agbo Victor, 33 year old, from Edo state was paraded while driving his dark green Honda Hennessy containing 250 parcels of Indian Hemp, worth One Million, Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira packaged inside the vehicle’s boot.

The suspect confessed to have transported the Indian Hemp from Edo enroute to Kano with the intent to deliver it to one Alhaji.

Repent or leave, CP tells perpetrators 

The Commissioner of Police Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko strongly warned that criminals have no hiding place in Kano state, they are advised to either repent or leave the state completely.

CP Dikko called on residents to shun from jungle justice while rigorous patrol, raids of criminal hideouts, and black spots will continue throughout the state, as the command will sustain the ongoing “Operation Puff Adder” that is yielding positive results.

However, the case has been transferred to the Command’s Criminal Investigation Department, Narcotics Section for discreet investigation upon which the suspect will be charged to court upon completion.

He urged residents to continue to pray for the state, the Nation, especially in the holy month of Ramadan, and report incidents to the nearest Police Station.
