Governor of Kano State, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has forwarded a list of commissioner nominees to the state House of Assembly for confirmation.

On Monday, the Speaker of the House, Hamisu Chidari, read the governor’s letter in plenary.

The nominees are; Ibrahim Dan’azumi Gwarzo, Abdulhalim Liman Dan Maliki, Lamin Sani Zawiyya, and Ya’u Abdullahi Yanshana.

Others also include; Garba Yusif Abubakar, Yusif Jibril Rurum, Adamu Abdu Panda, and Saleh Kausani.

Chidari stated that the commissioner nominees would be screened on Monday.

How the resignation of Eight commissioners created vacuum

Some political appointees have tendered their resignation notices after Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje ordered every political appointee aspiring for elective positions in 2023 to resign.

He stated that the directive was in accordance with the Electoral Act of 2022.
