Chelsea is in talks to sign Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix on loan till the end of the season.
Graham Potter’s side wants to snap up Felix by beating off competition from Manchester United and Arsenal.
According to the Telegraph, the Blues have jumped ahead in the queue for the Portugal international and are keen on adding him as a short-term replacement for Armando Broja who has been ruled out for the season due to injury.
Recall that Broja suffered an ACL injury earlier this month in a friendly against Aston Villa and has undergone surgery.
However, Felix is seen as the ideal short-term replacement and eventually replaced striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at Stamford Bridge.
Atletico Madrid is open to the departure of Felix in January after the 23-year-old fell down the pecking order under head coach Diego Simeone.
