Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has said that the National Recognition Award of Industrialist of the Year 2021 confered on Tajuddeen Dantata, chairman, Dantata Conglomerate, is the least expected on the business mogul considering his contribution to industrial development of the country.
The governor, represented at the occasion by the state commissioner for information, Malam Muhammad Garba, said the meritorious conferment of the award on Dantata alongside his company, Dantata Foods and Allied Products Company Limited’s Next Bull Award 2021, has brought to fore his enormous contribution and support for the industrial sector of Nigeria’s economy.
At the event titled: “Nigeria Investor Value Award (NIVA) 2021” held Saturday, April 24, at Lagos Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island, put together by BusinessDay newspaper in collaboration with the Nigeria Stock Exchange (NSE), Dantata was extolled for his innovative business strategies and pioneering in the agro-allied industry development.
Governor Ganduje said Dantata conglomerate business has not only offered direct and indirect emplyment opportunities in Nigeria and some West African countries to hundreds of thousands of people, but also an established market leader in many verticals.
He noted that Dantata’s pioneering of regenerative agriculture has greatly enhanced the ecosystem by imroving soil health and effective water management.
The governor pointed out that Dantata has also proven to be a sucsessful business tycoon from the illustrious Dantata dynasty of Kano, a force to reckon with in Nigeria’s industrial and manufacturing sector but a good ambassador of the people of Kano in particular and the nation at large.
While calling on the awardee to work to ensuring that his dynamic initiatives flourish, the governor enjoined him to always look back to home on matters of employment and other opportunities.
