Popular Kano-based Islamic cleric, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, has been appointed as the Commandant-General of the Kano Hisbah Board by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.
Daurawa announced the development in a video clip published on his official Facebook page on Monday.
Daurawa will be heading the board for the third time after serving two terms during the administration of former Governor of the State, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and the first tenure of Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
In 2018, he announced his resignation after a fallout between the former two Governors, Kwankwaso and Ganduje.
However, the Islamic cleric published on his official Facebook page a video clip showing him receiving an appointment letter from the Secretary to the State Government, Abdullahi Baffa Bichi.
The new Hisbah Boss is widely seen as someone who played a great role in the success of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) during the last General Elections.
