At least a rough total of two thousand centres have been established by the Kebbi state government to feed fasting muslims across four emirates.

The fasting breaking centres are at selected Juma’at mosques across all the four emirates.

The beneficiaries get cooked food, beans cake, pap and cold sacket water daily.

According to the state ramadan feeding committee leader, Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar Lamne Augie, Director Shariah, the beneficiaries are mostly people from indigent background and menial jobbers who find it hard to make ends meet even before ramadan.

“Thats why the state governor Senator Atiku Abubakar Bagudu out of magnanimity and to get Allah’s favour decided to open such centers to assist the needies in the four emirates, Gwandu, Argungu, Yauri and Zuru”. He said.

Lamne added that, sub-committees under the main committee daily, oversee the ramadan feeding in the respective towns and/or mosques in the emirates.

Cross section of beneficiaries who dont want to be mentioned commended the smooth running of the feeding programm under Lamne and as well thanked the governor of Kebbi state for his foresight which they described as a step in the right direction saying Nigerians are passing through hard times, therefore the feeding programme is a relief to them.

They urge Bagudu to extend the good gesture to as many people as possible.

Lamne explained further that, the feeding programme will continue till end of month of ramadan despite increase number of needies who throng the centers on daily basis.

He called on them to continue to conduct themselves while trying to access the food as there is enough to go round for all and sundry.

Lamne thanked Bagudu for the programm and members of his committee for the successes recorded so far.
