Some traders travelling to Kano have been reportedly abducted along the Birnin Gwari-Kaduna road on Wednesday.

Journalists were told that the traders’ convoy was attacked by a number of bandits in the morning, who later took them away into the forests, Vanguard reports.

Kaduna Police reacts

The Kaduna state police Command has confirmed the abduction of Traders along Birni Gwari road

This was confirmed by the Command Public Relation Officer, Mohammed Jalige.

However, he did not give detailed information on the abduction as at when filing the report.
