At least one passenger has been killed after a bus crashed into a BRT terminal at a bus stop in the Abule Egba area of Lagos.

It was gathered that the incident occurred on Monday when the vehicle lost control while trying to drop a passenger at the bus/stop.

According to The Nation, an eye witness, Abdulrasheed Tunde, said: ”The vehicle was probably coming from Abeokuta this morning and it was about to drop a passenger when it had brake failure. The vehicle somersaulted two times before crashing into the BRT fence.

“There has been one casualty confirmed while the rest of the passengers suffered severe injuries. Some broken hands, legs, heads.”

The bus has been evacuated from the scene and rescue operatives are on the ground to restore law and order in the environs.
