Kano State Consumer Protection Council, in collaboration with KAROTA, has intercepted a truck loaded with damaged Wafer biscuits.
The Managing Director of the council Dr Baffa Babba Dan’agundi, said the truck was intercepted at Gindutse village in Kura Local Government Area along Zaria road.
Dan’agundi, represented by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on KAROTA Nasiru Usman Na’ibawa, also said that the council got a report from a good citizen of Kano about the truck 150 sacks of damaged Wafer biscuits.
The report added that the vehicle was heading to Kofa village in Minjibir Local Government Area.
It may be recalled that a few months ago, a house in the same village, Kofa, was raided by the council and confiscated about six hundred sacks of damaged biscuits, cheese balls and candy-sweet, which were being repackaged and sold to the people in the markets.
