The Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasiru El-Rufai, has again enjoined the public to live in peace and love one another irrespective of their religious, ethnic differences.

El-Rufai noted we live in a country with various religions, ethnic groups but stressed, ‘we are all part of humanity’.

The Governor made this admonition at NASFAT village, where he led some of his commissioners and other political appointees to observe their Juma’at prayer at the NASFAT mosque in Kaduna.

According to him, “We should pray for ourselves, we should not curse ourselves, we should not wish evil of ourselves.”

“The prophet said he who believes in Allah and the last day should honour his guest and neighbour. We are all guests of one another. Whether we are Muslims or Christians, we live in country with many ethnic groups, many religions. Still, we all part of humanity, and God has enjoined us to be fair and just to everyone”, he noted.

He also called on the public to continue praying for their leaders and explained that society enjoys most if the leader is doing right.

He urged the various mosque in the state to continue preaching peace and praying for their leaders.

“Chief Imam NASFAT, Alh. Maroof has called all the Muslim ummah to pray for our leaders, whether Muslims or Christians, so I completely endorsed that. It is prophetic tradition/ directives. I hope and pray that all the mosques will continue to pray for our leaders so that God will guide us to do what is right.”

On the TV/ Radio media centre just commissioned by the Islamic society, NASFAT, the Governor had looked forward to the full operations of the media centre as he described it as a major investment.

“I look forward to the NAsfat radio and Television beginning operations in Kaduna, and I hope I would’ve been allowed to make my own contribution to make that happen. This is a major investment, and I am pleased about it”.

Meanwhile, the Governor prayed for the Islamic society for the great work done by the members.” May Allah continues to bless NASFAT, and may He continue to open ways and means to enable the imam to do more for this mosque and the society”.
