A former aide to governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, Salihu Tanko Yakasai has announced his ambition to run for office of governor of Kano State in the forthcoming 2023 election. 

He made this known via his verified Twitter handle today, although, his official declaration will take place on Friday, May 6th, 2022.

He posted: ”In the name of Allah, I trust in Allah; there is no might & no power but in Allah.

”My dear family, friends & well-wishers, this is to announce to you my intention to contest for Governor, Kano State, under our great party PRP.

”My official declaration will take place this Friday.”

Following Mr Yakasai’s post his supporters and well-wishers wishers acknowledged his ambition.
