The Federal University, Dutse has bestowed an award of excellence for exemplary leadership and humanitarian activities to Sharif Rabi’u Inuwa Ahlan, Chairman of Kano State Football Association.

The award ceremony took place at the Federal University, Dutse, the Jigawa State Capital during the maiden Zonal Conference of Nigeria Political Science Student, northwest zone on Tuesday.

Presenting the award plaque, Vice-Chancellor of Federal University, Dutse, Prof. Abdulkarim Sabo Muhammed, showered encomium on the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF executive board member for his dedication and service to humanity.

The VC who was represented by Prof. MD Abubakar described the Kano FA supremo as a man of honour and integrity taking into account the improved quality of football officiating across Nigeria League under watch.

Responding, Ahlan thanked the management of the University for finding him worthy to confer one of the exalted awards of the institution.

Sharif Rabi’u Inuwa Ahlan who is the Chairman of Referees Committee of Nigeria Football Federation through the Ahlan Foundation has sponsored hundreds of students across various institutions in the country.
