Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has paid a condolence visit to the families of 18 Doguwa flood victims and gave the sum of Two Hundred Thousand Naira (N200,000) to each of the victims’ families.
He prayed for the reposed souls of those who died due to the heavy downpour, which resulted in a flood that was not witnessed long before now.
“When the information of this sad tragedy reached us, we were seriously shocked. May Allah Forgive the victims, who died as martyrs, being washed away by the flood.
May He give them the ultimate reward of Jannatul Firdaus, Ameen,” the governor prayed.

They came from Doguwa town of Doguwa local government area, about 200 kilometres away from Kano metropolis.
Governor Ganduje was in the company of the House Leader, House of Representatives, Alhassan Ado Doguwa, party leaders and elders, some Commissioners and members of the State Executive Council, Advisers and other top government functionaries.
Families of the victims expressed their appreciation to the governor and his entourage and prayed to complete his tenure come 2023.
