Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has rewarded a 16-year-old Qur’an reciter, Ja’afar Habib Yusuf, with a hajj seat for his exceptional talent.

The governor, represented by the Director-General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, announced the gift of the hajj seat to the young Qur’an reciter in a short ceremony at his office.

According to the governor, Yusuf’s “extraordinary talent has captivated hearts and minds with his complete memorization of the Qur’an and his profound knowledge of its contents.

“Notably, he possesses an exceptional understanding of every ward and its location within the holy book, demonstrating an unparalleled commitment to his faith and its teachings”

Governor Yusuf commended Sheikh Ja’afar for his “dedication, perseverance, and mastery of the Qur’an, describing him as a shining example of the rich cultural and religious heritage of Kano State. “

The governor emphasized the importance of nurturing and supporting young talents like Sheikh Ja’afar, who represent the future leaders and ambassadors of the state.

He added that “the allocation of the Hajj seat to Sheikh Ja’afar Habib Yusuf from Goron-Dutse in Dala Local Government area serves as a token of recognition and appreciation for his exceptional achievements in Qur’an recitation and his unwavering commitment to spiritual enlightenment.

“The government of Kano State remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting excellence and nurturing talent across all sectors and pledges continued support for initiatives that empower and uplift the youth of the state,” Mr Yusuf said in a statement.
