Former President Goodluck Jonathan met with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Wednesday.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss issues pertaining to Africa and the West Africa subregion.

Jonathan, who serves as the Head of the ECOWAS Mediation Team to Mali, briefed President Tinubu on various continental and subcontinental bodies.

He holds the role of the ECOWAS mediator for Mali and chairs the West African Elders Forum.

After the meeting, Jonathan addressed the press, stating, “I discuss certain issues bordering on the continent and the subregion with various presidents.”

This visit marks their first courtesy meeting since their previous encounter in june.
