Kaduna state government has reaffirmed readiness to strengthen collaborations and maintain a good working relationship with the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kaduna Council.
The Kaduna state government disclosed this through the Senior Special Adviser on Media and Communication to Governor Mr. Muyiwa Adekeye during a courtesy visit by the Kaduna NUJ executive members.
Mr. Adekeye explained that the priority of the government is to ensure that people are adequately informed about the government policies and the progress in the state.

He also enumerated the virtues and roles of media in keeping people abreast of key happenings around them and also building their capacity through information sharing.
The Media aide further explained that the Kaduna state government had in the past trained Public Relations Officers, Directors and Permanent Secretaries of Ministries, and Journalists for effective communication of government’s policies.
He assured that Kaduna government will redouble its efforts to ensure that a good working relationship is being sustained between the state and the Union.
Earlier, the Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists Kaduna State Council, Comrade Asma’u Yawo Halilu also assured the state government to promote professionalism through its leadership’s commitments.
She disclosed that the Council will not in any ways support journalism of bigotry, unfairness and fake news.
