Honorable Yusuf Liman Dahiru has been appointed as the new speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly.
The clerk of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Barr. Sakinatu Hassan, made the declaration at the assembly’s sitting on Tuesday.
DailyNews24 reports that she declared Hon. Liman the winner of the speakership unopposed.
Hon. Munirat Tanimu Representing Lere East, move a motion to elect Hon. Liman Dahiru as a speaker of the House, seconded by Salisu Dan Dada Bala of Igabi East.
In a related development, the lawmakers unanimously agreed to elect Hon. Henry Magaji of Kagarko as Deputy Speaker of the House.
