Hundreds of persons have been sacked from their area by flood in Bajoga in the Funakaye Local Government Area of Gombe State on Saturday.
According to Abubakar Nafada, the impact of the flood was overwhelming, stressing that hundreds of homes have been submerged by the rain.

While lamenting the impact of the flood in Bajoga, Nafada said, “The rain has covered both roads and homes of residents of the area.”
Confirming the early morning flood, Executive Secretary of Gombe State Emergency Management Agency, Haruna Abdullahi, regretted the impact of destruction of property.
When asked about its level of intervention Abdullahi said they were recently informed about the incident.
He said, “We are going for an assessment. We were just informed about 30 minutes ago. Right now I’m in Gombe. We will be going to Bajoga soon.”
Responding to a question on loss of lives, the Executive Secretary said, “We don’t know for now until we find out.”
