As President Muhammadu Buhari started searching for experienced and patriotic candidates to fill the vacuum created as a result of the removal of two ministers, we are appealing to Mr President to allocate one slot to Kano state once again.
Recalled that the President had sacked the minister of power, Alhaji Sale Mamman from Taraba State as well as the minister of Agriculture, Alh Muhammad Sabo Nanono who hailed from Kano last week.
- Ministerial Appointment: Kano’s potential replacements for Nanono
- New Agric Minister says national livestock transformation plan will be given priority
- Updated: Buhari sacks agriculture, power ministers, redeploys two others
Though, Media Ambassadors Organization had thrown it’s support behind Mr President to relieve any public office holder who failed to justify the confidence reposed on him, it’s of utmost importance for him to consider Kano which used to be his political base and center of commerce by appointing another cabinet minister in place of the ex-minister of Agriculture, Alh Muhammad Sabo Nanono.
However, we strongly advise Mr President not to allow politics to determine the selection of the ministerial nominee.
Rather, Merits, experience, honesty, act of patriotism and track record should be the guiding principle in choosing the replacement of the minister.
Jointly Signed by the National President
Media Ambassadors Organization Abdullahi Isah and Publicity Secretary
Muhammad Adam T/Murtala.
