The Police in Osun, on Friday arraigned Emmanuel James, 19, Bright James, 23, and Olamilekan Ojo, 25, before an Ile-Ife Magistrate’s Court for alleged fraud.
The Prosecutor, Insp James Obaletan, told the court that the defendants committed the offence on June 4, 2023 around 8pm at Ifetedo area of Ife South Local Government Area of Osun.
Obaletan said that the defendants conspired together to commit felony to wit; fraud.

He said that the defendants fraudulently transferred the sum of N5,000 from the bank account of one Saheed Ajinde and converted it to their own use.
According to him, the offence contravened sections 390 (9) and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2002.
The defendants, however, pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge of conspiracy and fraud.
The Defence Counsel, Mr K.A. Akinlotan, applied for the bail of the defendants in most Liberal term, pledging that his clients would not jump bail.
Magistrate Kikelomo Adebayo granted the accused bail in the sum of N20,000 with one surety in like sum.
Adebayo said that the surety must swear to an affidavit of means, reside within the court jurisdiction, be their blood jurisdiction, present three years tax clearance certificate, means of identification and three recent passport photographs each.
She ordered for their remand at Ile-Ife Nigerian Correctional Service pending the perfection of bail.
The case was adjourned until June 19 for mention.
