In the Mista Ali community of Bassa Local Government Area, Plateau State, the Chief Imam, Imam Abdulkadir, expressed shock over the theft of his sacrificial ram.

The ram was stolen during a heavy downpour on the eve of Eid-el-Kabir, Naija News reports.

Malam Haruna Yaqub, an Imam in the community, condemned the theft during his sermon after the two Raka’at prayers. “The ram of our Chief Imam, which he purposely bought to sacrifice, was stolen in the night. We are really shocked by the incident,” Yaqub stated.

He emphasized the need for repentance, urging, “It is high time people repented and took the path of Allah. People should stop committing bad things and act according to Allah’s commandments.”

Yaqub highlighted the insensitivity of such acts, stressing that everyone will be held accountable for their actions both now and in the hereafter.
